Sitting at the table with my wife who is used to me singing songs with mangled lyrics either because I find them funny or because I can't remember so I make something up. She said, "Did you just make that up?" And I said, "No, aren't those the lyrics?" Whereupon she howled with laughter.
(Hey, it was the 60's and there's not a whole lot I do remember quite clearly.)
