I'm a hit the border like a battery break!

The story:

When I was a kid, like 4-6 years old, I would wake up early and
watch TV. At that time there wasn't much on, although I tended to
find commercials for CD's and mix collections coming out, and the
occasional biographical program about some famous musician.
They had one on a guy named "Meat Loaf" once. I heard him sing
this lyric, had no idea what he was saying, and then some guy said
"these sounds are from Mars..." I couldn't have agreed more. Then,
12 years later, i heard this song on the radio, told my parents my
tale, and found out the right lyrics. I still don't understand a word
he's saying.
