As the song faded out, I could have sworn that when Van Halen sang the refrain to I'll Wait for the very last time, they were singing about the Cubs. Of course, their previous song, JUMP, later became the theme song for WGN TV and Radio's Chicago Cubs campaign the year it was a Top 40 smash hit. Like every other lifelong Cubs fan, I'm still waiting for those Lovable Losers to bring home a World Series pennant.
