The story:

It always made sense to me that "tapping the brick" must be referring to the marijuana brick that makes his lungs explode (hence, he wants the window cracked). I started thinking of how ridiculous it would be to have that much drugs on hand just for a casual drive in traffic, so I looked the lyrics up. Its close enough to the original lyrics that when I sang it in the car, people probably didn't notice. Oh how embarrassing.
