The story:

For the longest time, my friend and I would sing along to this song
but always be puzzled by that one word. After listening to it many
many times we decided she couldn't be saying anything other than
"Thieves". Much much later I heard some other Britney Spears
fanatic friends singing it, but their version made WAY more sense.
