The story:

One of my friends who was an Elton John fan was impressed by my knowledge of song lyrics and asked me if I could write down the lyrics to some of her favourite songs so she could learn them. I leapt at the chance to impress her and duly transcribed "Don't Let the Sun Go Down On Me". i was so caught up in the task that I never stopped to actually think about what I was writing down. She came back to me immediately after I'd given her the lyrics and simply said, "I don't think that's right." I argued saying that I was pretty much 100 % sure I was right, and we actually had a falling out over it. It was only a year later when my parents bought the "Best of..." that i goot to see the actual lyrics. Thankfully she had forgotten all about the incident since then.
