Des Lecky is this little guy who works for the local government, well-known and about a straight up and plain as you can get. The thoughts of this diminutive dude being the amourous target of Mr. Mellencamp had me in paroxysms of laughter anytime I heard the song. My wife, who is much better at decipering lyrics that I (perhaps she has a less twisted mind) pointed out that "Cougar" was talking about dancing naked, not Des Lecky.
