The Story: You smell like goat, I'll see you in hell
At about age 50 (five years ago) I was talking to my brother, an oldies fan, about this song and how I'd never understood the first two lines. Told him what I understood and he smacked me upside the head -- "You've been living in China too long! There's no such thing as a Chinese Gypsy. There couldn't be a "gypsy" named "Woo!"
Then he explained he error of my ways. I'd been hearing it wrong for probably 40 years.
