Up until very recently, I was 100% sure that the singer was berating himself for being "so blond" i.e., stupid. I thought it was a clever lyric, so I was singing this in the car when my sister scrunched up her face and said, "you're kidding, right?" She thinks it's especially funny since I'm blond, but I reminded her I'm not blond at the roots. So there.
