Wow, you just enlightened me as well...I always thought it didn't make sense for her to sing "I just wanted you to let me in," and then this one...OH.

So you had mistaken the original lyric as well? Well then, I guess it makes a lot of sense to mishear it, just like "kiss the sky" in Purple Haze.
