i remember being a kid of the 80s watching footloose and thinking how cool kevin bacon was jamming to this song in his vw beetle. i just heard it as "elevator" and really didn't think anything of it. then was listening to this and sang it in front of my husband who laughed hysterically. why it didn't occur to me to have a mouth like an elevator to be odd i have no idea.
