"I don't know why sometimes get fry turns"

The story:

I think I first heard this song when I was roughly six or seven. It was pretty popular back then; in fact, it was *so* popular that even I used to sing it on the school bus non-stop until one day I tried to work out what the hell "fry turns" were. I mean, what *were* fry turns??

Needless to say, after many years of musing on the mystery of fry turns and wondering what they were and if they were edible, the penny dropped when I was fifteen when I heard someone *else* sing it
as "I don't know why sometimes I get frigh-turned".

..then I spent the next four weeks telling everybody about it :)
