The Story: Don't eat the fruit in the garden, Eden,, It wasn't in God's natural plan., You were only a rib,, And look at what you did,, To Adam, the father of Man.
The Story: You smell like goat, I'll see you in hell
I listened to the song for the first time and didn't notice, simply because I usually don't pay attention to song lyrics on the first listen. But the second time I listened I did pay attention, and I thought, "Hey, wait, that can't be what he's saying, can it?" So I consulted the lyrics sheet that came with the album. I was of course wrong.
It's somewhat plausible, though. I know that Mr. Cobain had some mental issues (I don't mean that insultingly or anything, okay, so don't take offensive if you think you've mental issues!), and I was wondering if the line was sung from the perspective of a little "voice" inside his head that was basically saying that he could reinvent himself and that it had the new him he would use.
