Actually I did not mishear them, my father did, so I'm submitting this in his honor. It was back in the '80s when I was in high school and the Smurfs were on Saturday mornings. (No I did not watch them, but my little sister did.)He heard the song from downstairs and when I came down he asked me what song was I listening to. He then told me what it sounded like to him. Classic.
