It always seemed right, since the lead singer seemed nervous to be meeting this lady. I thought this backup vocal line was an aside as to WHY he was "scared to go much further with it". If he dances like a retard, he's out on his ear! I only figured it out years later, watching the video. And you know - I STILL SING IT THIS WAY!
