The story:

How I got this out of that line, I'll never know. For about 5 years, I didn't pay any attention to what the dang song meant or anything of the sort. Then, after I'd read about Renee Zellweger's very short marriage, I started singing it this way. I now get the major stares whenever I sing along with their performance of this song on "One Night Only".
