The story:

I was singing the lyrics in front of my wife at the time. She laughed and said I got the lyrics wrong, and that there was no bluebird in the song. She did understand why I might have heard it as bluebird. We are not married anymore. Maybe, it was because she was a music teacher and I had no musical ability.
