The story:

When I was a little kid, I thought this was a song about a Gypsy organgrinder family and their escaped monkeys. I didn't know Capuchin monkeys from a chimps.
I was a teenager and asking my sister if she remembered the Cher song about the Gypsy Chimps in the Trees. I still haven't lived it down 30 years later.
