The Story: You smell like goat, I'll see you in hell
I was doing a phone interview with Derringer in 1998 or so (I'm a rock critic for a daily newspaper)and had been burning since 1974 to find out what the lyric really was. So at the very end of the interview, I told him I had to ask him about a line in the tune. When I asked him what the lyric really said, he burst out laughing and told me, adding that he had been asked about that same lyric ever since the tune hit the radio waves.
