I heard this song at a local gay bar on "Ladies Night", and was absolutely delighted that someone wrote a song about their "Dream Beaver". I was singing along when I was suddenly **saulted by a butch bull d*ke who was not amused.

I'm quite certain the author is talking about the song "Dream Weaver" by Gary Wright. The version by REO Speedwagon shares a title, but is a completely different song.
