The story:

This has always been my favourite Buddy Holly track since I was a kid, when my then-teenage brother had the album. Nobody seemed to notice when I sang along with the incorrect word in my version. I only realised it much, much later when I heard a copy on a CD with much clearer sound. I had never stopped to query the wording as I knew it.
