Ok so this is pure Jewish paranoia on my side, and No! I'm not
normally like this, and Yes! I LOVE Bowie, but I admit this
"cunning Jew" business always made me raise an eyebrow. The
other day I was having a very deep discussion with my boyfriend
about how on earth Bowie got away with it, theorising about
how it might have been a reference to Victorian music hall jokes
which would go with the overall theme of this early record, or
maybe it was a Shakespearean reference to Shylock. etc. Then I
made him listen to the song and he said: Honey, you're bonkers!
