The story:

Growing up I always thought this was a song talking about smoking pot.....I mean think about it....Come Feel the Reefer, We'll Be Able To Flyyyyyyy.....it does make sense....I literally spent several years of my life actually believing these were the words.....Anyway, earl on in college while at a party.....I'm tryin' to act all cool and everything and this song is playing....and I'm justa singin' along....."Come Feel the Reefer, Come Feel the Reefer....We'll Be Able To Flyyyyyy, and heck I didn't even smoke dope......just thought it made me look all bad by knowin' a pothead song.....A couple of guys overheard me and said, "Man, what in the hell are you sayin?,Come Feel the Reeeeeeefer?".....I was like yeah man,Blue Oyster Cult, they're cool dude....right on!.......They were like, it's not Reefer!, It's "Don't Fear the Reaper,you IDIOT!.....Gang, I was mortified! And to this day, I still have trouble singing the correct words to the chorus!.....True Story, Jeff
