Chemo-californication

The story:

Back in high school, this guy I liked and I were talking about RHCP... and he said his favorite song by them was Californication. I said, "Yeah, I love that song!" and starting singing, "chemo-califoooornicaaaaatiooon." (yeah, like chemo, as in chemotheraphy).

He laughed at me, and another girl turned around and was, "Wtf?!" He just said, yeah, it's definitely 'dream of californication.' They laughed at me together and were just like, woooow, that'd be incredibly offensive.

I felt pretty stupid for singing the wrong lyrics all these years, but I stood by them that day. :-)
