but the trucks don't work

The story:

i was down at the student karyoke night and someone selected this song. I had had a few drinks and was convinced that they were singing the lyrics wrongly. I began to heckle them despite my friends pleas that i was wrong about teh lyric.After the song was finished the guy running the event had got wind of what i thought the lyrics were. At this time i was still arguing strongly that my version was correct. I was asked up to the mic and basically had 200 people tell me i was totally wrong (although maybe not as politely as that!!!). It was at that point i began to realise that possibly i had misheard the lyric. I alway shad though it a bit strange that a "deep" group like the verve were lamenting the mechanical faliure of trucks as a topic for one of their songs-but i never asked anyone....maybe next time i will!!!!!!!!
