I had honestly thought that was it all my life ever since the first time I heard that song... until today when I was in the car with my family and that song was on a station that my dad flipped to, and my mom mentioned how black velvet is a type of drink. My mental image of a mentally disabled child wearing black velvet clothes suddenly made no sense (not that it ever did...) and I went to go look up the lyrics when I got home.
