Oh dear! And, fifteen years later (namely today) I actually find out what the real lyric is...
I've only just Googled and discovered the true lyric on thinking about songs on the radio that had caused me discomfort. I've been switching this one off, or turning the volume off during this particular lyric, whenever any other person was around me all this time. (I know it's the 'ordinary word' and not the swearword, but it still wasn't comfortable on the radio, when I was in company, with me believing that that was what it was singing.)
Now that I know the actual lyric, it does now sound like "this love". I wondered why it wasn't censored!
