Back-a-packers often rest up here, on Black Country Rock...

The story:

I was in the car with my husband on the freeway the other day and
I was looking at the sleeve for 'The Man Who Sold the World' album
that had the lyrics listed on it - that's when I realized I'd been
singing this song wrong for years! I told him of my embarrassing
discovery and we had a good laugh.
Makes sense though, when you think about it; I don't think Bowie
would ever write a song about a rest stop for back packers, much
less sing it with that weird syncopated style. I have been way out to
lunch.
