When I was about 4 our family road-tripped it cross-country, and we had this song on tape. Yes tape. And when the refrain would come around, since my name happens to be Ethan, my two sisters always teased me and sang this to my face and I would get incredibly embarrassed by my own name. For years after that I was entirely convinced that she was saying Yay Yay Ethan! on her song, and I had now idea why Carly Simon was picking on me.
