The Story: You smell like goat, I'll see you in hell
The first time I heard this song, it was on the canon of my
camp's songs-to-play-at-dances-list, and it was always the 2nd
to last song, right before American Pie.
We would all circle up a sway and cry while they played this
song, and I had a sick cousin at the time, so it seemed very
fitting that the lyrics would be "climbing" rather than "buying."
It also didn't help that in choir we sang the *other* Stairway to
Heaven (Here we go, climbing the stairway to heaven).
Anyways, it wasn't until I was looking at a printed copy of the
canon (I originally had no idea what the song was called) and the
lyrics that I realized my mistake.
