I just figured it out after listening to the rest of the song from the begining and actually paying attention to the lyrics. I sang it like that since about the age of 6 whenever it came on the radio but seen as I said it so fast noone ever noticed! thank gawd! I think I figured it out eventually at about the age of 14'ish!
