After all the hooey we've been through

The story:

I was in a car with a friend, when this song came on the radio. Before this line came up, I actually commented on how strange it was for Chicago to use "hooey" in a song lyric, and urged my friend to listen to it! He believed me until it came up! Boy did we have a good laugh. I only see this friend once every five years or so, but we always manage to use "hooey" in a sentence when we talk.
