    The story:

    Not a great Bob Marley fan, so I'd never taken
    much notice of the song and what it was about -
    except this line. For years - ever since I first
    heard the song - it stuck in my memory. Every time
    I heard the song, there is was again. What on
    earth did this Jamaican pop singer have against
    Yorkshiremen?

    One evening the song came on when I was with my
    girlfriend (now wife), who seemed to know a bit
    more about Mr Marley, and I said "but what has he
    got against Yorkshire?".

    Silence. "Sorry?"

    "In this song. Why Yorkshire people? I don't get
    it" Where upon I repeated the line.

    30 years later, and she's still not forgotten...
