The story:

I'm 40 years old, and have heard "King of Hollywood" for almost 30 years, and never really understood that lyric -- but never really shared my confusion with anyone, either. I just assumed it was Don, Glenn and the boys being esoteric.

Well, this morning, as my wife and I were getting ready for work with a disc from the Eagles boxed set playing, I said matter-of-factly during "King of Hollywod", "I never have understood that. 'You'd know it if you saw his stomach?' "

To which she replied, "That's because it's 'stuff.' "

I immediately raced to your site to make sure I wasn't the only idiot who misheard it this way -- and realized, in fact, that I was.
