It was my friend who was singing this song and I pointed out his lyrical error. He blushed "reel" bad. Then we laughed at it off and on all day, it was embarassing because both of us were in our 50's at this point and he had been singing the wrong lyrics since the first time he heard the song some 40-50ish odd years ago.
