I am a self-proclaimed purist when it comes to getting lyrics right. I constantly want to correct people, even going so far as to embarrass them in public when they get it wrong (or are off key) - not on purpose, of course. Music used to be my life, in the 90's I could go through 18 stations of radio in L.A. and name the song , the artist and the first name of the lead singer in just a few notes. Sadly, I am no longer THAT big of a snob. But I can still be kind of a jerk about it. I have been known to test my husband on which Beatle sings which song, and I generally only like the "originals" and not "covers". There must be something wrong with me. :-) |
